Yu Ace with 18:9 Display and 4,000mAh Battery Launched in India

At the recent IFA 2018 event, HTC has launched its latest smartphone, the HTC U12 Life in Berlin. This mid-range smartphone has a unique dual-textured back that reminds us a little of the Google Pixel family. The dual finish features soft, subtle stripes on an acrylic glass unibody with a metal like design, for better gripping and less scratches. As per the company, the HTC U12 LIfe will launch in Europe, Asia and the Middle East sometime late next month. Few Key highlights of this smartphone include the design, the vertical dual camera setup at the back, and a 3,600mAh battery.

Let us take a look at the specifications of this latest smartphone by HTC:

The HTC U12 Life sports a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. This device packs a 64GB internal storage, which can be further expandable via microSD card. This dual-SIM slots (Nano + Dual Standy + Dual LTE) support handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with HTC Sense.

Coming to the camera department, the HTC U12 Life features a vertically stacked dual camera setup, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with dual-LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and has features like Bokeh mode, timer up to 10 seconds, face detection, HDR, panorama mode, 4K video recording, and Video Pic (capture photos while recording 4K video). Up front, it features a 13-megapixel fixed-focus BSI sensor with LED flash. The features of front camera include Beauty mode, selfie timer up to 10 seconds, HDR, full-HD 1080p video recording, face detection, and Video Pic.

In terms of connectivity options, this handset includes NFC, Bluetooth v5, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Internal GPS antenna with GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetic sensor, motion compass, and a proximity sensor, apart from a fingerprint sensor at the back. The HTC U12 is fuelled by a 3,600mAh battery and surprisingly does not support fast charging. It does come with a power saving mode that helps users to save battery for a little while longer.
