iPhone WhatsApp users here’s a news for you. Your WhatsApp Messenger has reached into your in-vehicle connectivity system through the latest Apple’s CarPlay integration. This new update, which comes for iPhone, enables push notifications to let you easily communicate with your contacts while driving. Earlier, users were required to use Siri integration on their vehicles to interact with the WhatsApp app on their iPhones and iPads, but with this new update of official CarPlay support, it will allow you to receive messages as and when they reach your devices.

After your WhatsApp is updated, the messaging App icon will automatically show up as an app when your iPhone is connected to CarPlay. You’ll be able to see unread messages through an icon, you can make Siri read out your received messages, and send new ones to your contacts by dictating it to Siri.
However, people at iCulture report that it appears after installing the latest version. The integration is somewhat similar to what has already been available for iPhone’s own iMessages. But, the only difference between the WhatsApp and iMessage app in CarPlay is that WhatsApp lacks the ability to scroll through a list of chat conversations available in a particular account.
This new update is available now on iOS devices. The updated WhatsApp for iPhone with the CarPlay integration is available to download on App Store. However, the official changelog on the App Store doesn’t define about this new feature.
