Vivo Z3 with Waterdrop Notch, Snapdragon 670/ 710 SoC variants Launched

The Chinese vendor Vivo has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, Vivo Z3. This handset comes in three different variants options, that include Qualcomm Snapdragon 670, Snapdragon 710 SoCs and up to 6GB RAM. Vivo has also provided a waterdrop notch, dual rear camera setup, and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. Additionally, this new Vivo Z3 includes a Face Unlock feature that is claimed to detect 1,204 facial features using an infrared light to unlock the screen. There is also the Jovi smart voice assistant similar to other Vivo handsets. The Vivo Z3 also has artificial intelligence (AI) based selfie-focused features that are designed to adjust lighting and enhance self-portrait shots.

Let us take a look at the specifications of this latest smartphone by Vivo Z3:

The Vivo Z3 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display along with 19:9 aspect ratio and 90.3 screen-to-body ratio. One of the variant is powered by a Snapdragon 670 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM, while the other variant comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM. This device packs 64GB/128GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. This dual-SIM (Nano) support phone runs Funtouch OS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the camera department, this handset features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Up front, it features a 12-megapixel dual pixel sensor.

In terms of connectivity, this smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB along with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Z3 is fuelled by a 3315mAh battery.
