The Chinese smartphone makers Vivo has launched a new phone, Vivo Z1i in China. This new device appears to be the cheaper version of the Vivo Z1. It comes with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and includes artificial intelligence (AI) backed smart beauty features. The company has also offered its Jovi AI Assistant and a Face Wake feature that looks for the facial features to unlock the screen. Additionally, this new smartphone packs AR stickers and a dedicated game mode. Unlike its previously version Vivo Z1, this new model has an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC. However, at present this smartphone will be available in China and it comes in Black Gold and Hyun Red colour variants.

The Vivo Z1i sports a 6.26-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC that is clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. This new smartphone packs 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. This dual-SIM (Nano) support handset runs Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Coming to the camera part, the Vivo Z1i features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with LED flash. Up front, it features a 16-megapixel sensor with Face Wake support.
In terms of connectivity, this smartphone incudes, 4G VoLTE, Wi-FI 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features a fingerprint sensor at the back. This new Vivo Z1i is fuelled by a 3260mAh battery.
