One of the popular Malayalam filmmaker of this time Aashiq Abu has announced his next project titled Virus. While announcing the project, he also shared the first look poster, which looks dark and unsettling. Aashiq Abu took to his social media handle and shared the first poster and captioned it as, “Our Next. Based on our #TrueStories,” which seems to suggest that the film might be based on the recent outbreak of Nipah virus in Kerala.

However, thing that got social media excited, is the huge star cast that includes Revathy, Rima Kallingal, Parvathy, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Kalidas Jayaram, Remya Nambeeshan, Soubin Shahir, Dileesh Pothan, and Chemban Vinod.

Virus clearly seems to be Aashiq’s most ambitious project as he has put together these set of talented actors for the movie. With this huge list of accomplished actors appearing in the poster, speculation is rife that it might be an anthology film with the storyline connected through the virus.

Previously, Aashiq Abu’s last released film was a critically acclaimed and commercially successful Mayaanadhi starring Tovino Thomas and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles. However, Virus is expected to hit theatres next summer.
