This new Uber Lite app from India is lite and simple app, which will work on Android phones natively and will work across networks. This app is just 5MB in size, that is less than 3-4 images combined. The new Uber lite app also gets a new logo that is different from its regular black and white colours, instead the Uber Lite app sports a blue-and-white colour theme.

Interestingly, there are few features included in this lite app to help out the customers, such as:

Maps only when you want them: To keep the app simple and quick, maps in Uber Lite are optional, but available with just a tap if you want them.

Guided pickups: Uber Lite helps the users through the request experience by detecting their current location. If the app is unable to detect your location due to GPS or network issues, it will show you few popular pickup points nearby, for you to choose from.

In terms of payments in this new Uber lite app, at present this Lite app accepts only cash mode for your rides.
