Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s starrernew movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’s trailer has been released. These were days when AkshayKumar played the hero in those mass masala movies. When his one-liner dialogues got him more applause than his acting skills. But that is all are in the past now. The 49-year-old actor is out of his comfort zone, and is busy experimenting with his on-screen roles. From a national hero in Airlift to a lawyer in Jolly LLB 2. When most actors of his time are busy playing the protagonist in larger-than-life films, Akshay Kumar is trying to bring worthy stories alive in the theatre and Toilet Ek Prem Katha is no different in which Keshav and Bhumi who fight against all odds to get sanitation facilities in their village.

Akshay’s character Keshav wants to get married desperately but becauseheis being a manglik, he is married off to a cow. Then he meets Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar) to whom he falls in love. They get married and everything was going good in their life until Jaya finds out that there’s no toilet in the house and she sets him off to fight for bathroom rights in the village. After facing humiliation over what should be a natural right, she convincesAkshay to take on a political battle over sanitation rights.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has performances from veteran actors like Anupam Kher, Rajesh Sharma but Bhumi Pednekar looks like she stands her own which seems like a heavy performance andAkshay Kumar takes the centre stage by starting with funny one-liners and sinks into a more serious role towards the end of the trailer.

However, a story waiting to be told. Sanitation and personal hygiene is a seldom talked about issue in India and this movie been grabbing attention for its unique choice of subjects that Is matrimony and toilets.
