Look, the first look of an upcoming movie The Accidental Prime Minister starring veteran actor Anupam Kher as the former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is out. Anupam Kher, who has just been nominated for BAFTA, is all set to portray this role in his upcoming film.

In this first look, Anupam Kher’s onscreen look as Manmohan Singh has so much resemblance and it might have made you take a double check on the picture. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his twitter handle and shared the film’s first look. Alongside the image, he wrote, “Anupam Kher’s look from #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister… The political drama based on the book by Sanjaya Baru… Costars Akshaye Khanna… Vijay Ratnakar Gutte directs… Hansal Mehta is the creative producer… Produced by Bohra Bros… Filming commences in London… 21 Dec 2018 release”.
As soon as the first look went online, some of the users hailed Kher’s identical look to the former Prime Minister and there were also few users who took a dig on the veteran actor and the makers for making a film on the subject.
The Accidental Prime Minister will be an upcoming biographical political film, based on the life of Dr. Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India for two consecutive terms from 2004 to 2014. It is basically an onscreen adaptation of Sanjay Baru’s book of the same name, who served as the media adviser to the former Prime Minister. The shooting of this film has already begun in London.
The Accidental Prime Minister, directed by a newcomer Vijay Gutte and written by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta. This flick is bank rolled by Bohra Bros. Starring Anupam Kher as the former Indian PM and Akshaye Khanna in a pivotal role. This biographical political film is scheduled to hit theatres on Dec 21.
