Samsung launched new flagship mobile names as Galaxy S8 Active. This smartphone comes in a durable shockproof casing and a shatterproof display.

If you are looking for specifications, the Galaxy S8 Active looks similar to the original Galaxy S8. The display of the phone sports 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. Galaxy S8 Active, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal storage,but is expandable up to 256 GB using a microSD card.Camera features are also similar to Galaxy S8, such as a 12MP rear camera with autofocus and optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an LED flash. On the front, it has a 8MP sensor with autofocus. The S8 Active will run Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

The S8 Active include a beefier battery which is now up to 4000 mAh. The back cover on the phone has a better, more secure grip and has a rugged look and feel. The company claims that this device is rated to survive immersion in water, up to 5 feet for as long as 30 minutes. The S8 Active has also passed MIL-STD-810G military grade testing which includes a subset of 21 specific environmental conditions, including extreme temperature, dust, shock, vibration, low pressure and high altitude.

Similar toGalaxy S8 and S8+, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that lies adjacent to the camera. Other than that, it also come with an iris scanner for added security. According to Samsung “The Galaxy S8 Active is secured from the “chip up” with Samsung Knox, the defense-grade mobile security platform designed to protect the integrity of the device.”

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be available for buying starting from August 11, starts with pre-orders that begins from August 8. The Smartphonecomes in two colours variants Meteor Gray and Titanium Gold.
