Rajinikanth & Akshay Starrer 2.0 release postponed again, fans will have to wait longer

Looks like the fans of Thaliva Rajinikanth and Khiladi Akshay Kumar will have to wait little more longer to watch these two share the big screens. Shankar’s 2.0 is one of the most awaited movie for a longest time. It grabbed news from its popular star cast to VFX to Akshay Kumar’s look and the grand audio launch event.

Also, this happens to be the first Indian film that is directly shot in 3D and This is for the first time ever that Akshay Kumar will be seen in a negative role on the big screens. As per reports, 2.0 happens to be the most expensive Indian film being made till date.

Shankar’s 2.0, was supposed to release on Diwali 2017, but later pushed to January 2018 due to its pending VFX work. But the makers couldn’t meet the deadline, and 2.0 was further postponed to April. The latest buzz suggests that 2.0 won’t release in April too.

Surendhar MK told to a leading online portal, “The film will not release in April. The movie has been pushed by a few months. The makers are planning on a mid-August release.”

2.0 is written and directed by S Shankar. This film is said to be a sequel to the superhit 2010 Tamil film Enthiran which had Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. The sci-fi drama will see Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. 2.0 is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi languages respectively.

However, 2.0 makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the release date of this much-awaited film.
