Meizu V8, V8 Pro with 18:9 Displays Launched

The Chinese smartphone makers Meizu launched its two new smartphones, Meizu V8 and V8 Pro. Both these latest smartphones feature 5.7-inch 18:9 displays, rear fingerprint sensor, and 5-megapixel front cameras. The Flyme OS-based budget smartphones are nearly identical, but there are few differences between them, such as the V8 has a single rear camera, while the V8 Pro has a dual rear camera setup.

Let us take a look at the specifications of these latest smartphones:

Meizu V8:

The Meizu V8 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 SoC, coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. This device packs a 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. This dual-SIM (Nano) support device runs Flyme OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the camera department, this handset features a single rear 13-megapixel camera with two-colour dual-LED flash module. Up front, it features a 5-megapixel camera.

In terms of connectivity options, this handset includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, a proximity sensor, and a software gyroscope. The Meizu V8 is fuelled by a 3,200mAh battery.

Meizu V8 Pro:

The Meizu V8 Pro sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. This device packs a 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. This dual-SIM (Nano) support device runs Flyme OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the camera department, this handset features a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The rear camera setup also has a two-colour dual-LED flash module. Up front, it features a 5-megapixel camera.
