The South Korean smartphone makers LG has announced its new Q Stylus series smartphones. This series consists of three mid-range smartphones including Q Stylus, Q Stylus+ and LG Q Stylus a (LG Q Stylus Alpha), as the name suggests these smartphones are equipped with a stylus. LG claims that these are mid-range smartphones, which have been packed with some premium features in them.

Few highlighted features in these smartphones are: LG claims that its Q Stylus can recognise and record handwritten notes, even when the display is off. Additionally, these handset’s stylus can be used to personalise captured images and videos to create animated GIFs. The company has packed a camera that features PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and Portrait Mode. These new smartphones also come with IP68 water and dust protection, USB Type-C fast charging and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that also acts as the selfie camera shutter button.

All three smartphones LG Q Stylus, Q Stylus+, and Q Stylus Alpha sports a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Full Vision displays with an 18:9 aspect ratio. They are powered by two octa-core SoC options depending on the region, clocked either at 1.5GHz or 1.8GHz clock speed. While, the LG Q Stylus and Q Stylus Alpha’s processor will be coupled with 3GB of RAM, on the other hand the LG Q Stylus+ processor will be coupled with 4GB of RAM. About the storage part, both LG Q Stylus and Q Stylus Alpha will pack 32GB of internal storage, while the LG Q Stylus+ will pack 64GB of internal storage, all three smartphones can be further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. These latest three smartphones run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Coming to the camera department, both LG Q Stylus and Q Stylus+ variants features a 16-megapixel rear camera with a PDAF lens, while the Q Stylus Alpha variant features a 13-megapixel rear camera. Up front, all the three smartphones features a 5-megapixel camera with super wide-angle lens.
In terms of connectivity options, these new LG Q Stylus series includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C (version 2.0). These LG Q Stylus lineup are fuelled by a 3300mAh battery.
