Lenovo Z5 with Vertical Dual Cameras Launched

The Chinese Smartphone maker’s Lenovo launched its latest premium smartphone, Lenovo Z5, at an event in Beijing. Earlier, Lenovo had put up a few sketches and images of this phone varient, suggesting it will have an all-screen front. Instead, Lenovo Z5 does have an edge-to-edge screen, but like any other recent smartphone it has a notch on the top. Few highlights of this new smartphone include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, a vertical dual rear camera setup with AI capabilities, and an iPhone X-like notch. This latest Lenovo Z5 is said to be a premium smartphone but turns out to be a mid-range phone with mid-range specifications with a few exceptions.

Let us take a look at the specifications of this new smartphone by Lenovo:

The Lenovo Z5 sports a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (1080×2246 pixels) IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. This new device packs 64GB/128GB internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. This dual-SIM (Nano) support phone runs ZUI 3.9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the camera part, the new Lenovo Z5 comes with a vertical dual rear camera setup, which features 16-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, both come with AI capabilities, HDR+, 4K support, and an LED flash. Up front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor with full-HD video recording.

In terms of connectivity options, this smartphone includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac with hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. This latest Lenovo Z5 is fuelled by a 3300mAh battery that supports 15W fast charge.
