Job-Seekers: Google launches an easier way to find Job Listings in India

Search engine giant, Google launched a new search experience that makes it easier and quicker for job seekers to find relevant employment opportunities in India. This new experience, which is inspired by the Google for Jobs feature which made its debut in the US last year, is aimed to make job searches easier for Internet users in the country.

So, to begin with this new experience users when search for queries like jobs near me, jobs for freshers, they will see a special module that will expand to a more immersive experience. When the user clicks on any job in the listing, it gives a view of comprehensive information about the posting such as job title, location, whether it is full-time or part-time, and several other details.

This new search experience also consists of smart filters that enable job seekers to refine their search. Once the results are available, users can filter the listing so that it will help the user to pick only the most appropriate openings. You can filter the results on the basis of job profile, title, location, date posted, or company type. Google also allows you to bookmark your pick in listings and revisit them in the future. Similarly, there is also an Alerts option, where users can receive email notifications whenever new and relevant jobs matching their interests become available, helping them easily stay in the loop on similar opportunities.

This new experience on Google will not allow the users to apply directly. Instead, when u select an appropriate opening from the listing, it redirects the user to the job listing page available on the partners’ site. However, this new experience will help the user to conveniently search for a particular opening from one single page rather than going to different portals to find an appropriate opportunity.

In order to make the experience easy, Google has partnered with job portals, including Aasaanjobs, Freshersworld, Headhonchos, IBM Talent Management Solutions, LinkedIn, Quezx, Shine.com, T-Jobs, TimesJobs, and WinsdomJobs. Google is also working with various state governments in the country to bolster the experience for Indian job seekers. This new feature is available in English on the Google app for Android and iOS as well as in Google Search on the desktop and mobile.
