Huawei Nova 3, 3i with Duel-cameras on both front and back Launched in India

Chinese company, Huawei launched its latest smartphones, Nova 3 and Nova 3i in India. The company brings its two new mid-range smartphones to the country. Both these phones have dual cameras setup on both the front and the back with AI integration, and the display notch that house the sensors and the front camera module. Both handsets will also come in 128GB storage capacities in India. These new smartphones will receive GPU Turbo mode via an OTA update for a more powerful gaming experience, as well as AI-based 4D gaming experience. Huawei Nova 3 gets IR-based Face Unlock functionality.

As per reports, Huawei has partnered with Amazon India to deliver an AI-based shopping experience. This new feature will take the user to the Amazon listing of a product if users long press on its image with two fingers. Meanwhile, users can search an object on Amazon listing by taking a photo of the product, by which the tech will scan it to open the Amazon listing.

Let us take a look at the specifications of these new smartphones by Huawei:

Huawei Nova 3:

The Huawei Nova 3 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and an 85 percent NTSC colour gamut. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, coupled with a Mali-G72 GPU and 6GB RAM. This device packs 64GB/128GB of internal storage. This dual-SIM (Nano) support device runs EMUI 8.2 atop Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the camera department, this handset features a vertically aligned dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 24-megapixel secondary sensor with PDAF. Up front too, it features a dual camera setup with a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front facing camera comes with 3D Qmoji, Huawei’s take on AR-based emojis that iPhone X popularised with the Animoji.

In terms of connectivity options, this handset includes, 4G VoLTE Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio, and USB Type-C. The Nova 3 is fuelled by a 3750 mAh battery.

Huawei Nova 3i:

The Nova 3i sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) LTPS panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM. This device packs 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. This dual-SIM (Nano) support device runs EMUI 8.2 atop Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the camera part, this handset features a vertical dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Up front too, it features a dual camera setup with 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor.

In terms of connectivity options, this handset includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB 2.0, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.2 LE. The Nova 3i is fuelled by a 3340mAh battery.

Now, let us take a look at the price and availability of this new smartphones:

The Huawei Nova 3 in India is priced at Rs. 34,999. On the other hand, the Huawei Nova 3i in India is priced at Rs. 20,990. As per the company, the Nova 3 will go for sale on Aug 23 and Nova 3i on Aug 7 in India. Both these smartphones are Amazon exclusive in India. Both these handsets will be available in Iris Purple and Black colour options.
