If you are a person who is fed up with the repeated annoying posts by your family members or your friends on Instagram, whom you can’t unfollow. Here’s good news for you, there’s now a way to make your feed clean from their insane posts, without ever letting them find out.
Facebook owned photo sharing app, Instagram is about to roll out a new Mute feature that prevents your Insta feed from showing up unwanted people’s posts without unfollowing them.
This new mute feature will let you remove annoying posts from your Instagram feed without breaking the current relation, by deleting the other person’s account. Those who are muted will not know that they are muted. After muting the accounts, it will only disappear their posts from your feed, You will still be able to visit the accounts to see their posts. And you will still be notified when a muted account comments on your own posts or tags you in a post. You will also be able to mute posts, stories and Instagram notes as well.
In order to mute an account, simply tap on the menu button at the top right corner of a post from the other user (whom you want to mute) and tap Mute option. Their posts will no longer appear on your feed, and they won’t be alerted that they’ve been muted. It also works with Stories, and you can mute from the menu.
This new Mute feature on Instagram is not yet out for public, it will be rolling out in the coming weeks.
