Coolpad has finally launched its Cool Play 6 smartphone for the Indian market. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is available on Amazon India and is priced at Rs 14,999, which gives a tough completion to the similarly priced smartphones from Xiaomi, Motorola and Lenovo. The online retailer Amazon India is even offering the smartphone in an exchange offer for Rs 12,800. Buyers also can extend the warranty for an additional cost of Rs 649 or include a 1 year accidental and liquid damage protection plan for Rs 1,299.Moreover, the buyers looking to buy in EMI option will also cost no cost EMI payment option for three or six months.

Talking about the device, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 offers a full metal body with metallic rims running all around the device. There is a 2.5D glass protection at the front and a rear-facing circular fingerprint sensor below the main camera. About the hardware specifications, the device has few rare specs considering other smartphones in this price range. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The smartphone packs a 6 GB RAM, which no other device has in this price range and 64 GB internal storage. There is no option to expand the internal storage using a microSD card. Coolpad has runs on a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC clocked at 1.95 GHz along with an Adreno 510 GPU to handle the graphics.
Talking about the camera department, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 features a dual camera setup on the rear side of the device with two 13MP sensors with dual tone LED flash, 4K video recordingand HDR. On the front side, the Coolpad smartphone features an 8MP selfie camera. The Duel camera on the handset’s back side uses the usual monochrome with RGB sensor setup, which according to the manufacturer will deliver better low light performance.
As of the connectivity features on this device comes with dual nano SIM slots with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1,Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.The smartphone is poweredby a 4000mAh battery that is said to offer up to 300 hours of standby time.
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. it is expected to receive its Android Oreo 8.0 update by December. While the Coolpad Cool Play 6 was announced in two colour variants such as gold and black finishes, but it is currently only available in the gold finish on Amazon India.
